CRR&O is back! With a review of the movie Beowulf.
Okay, let’s get this straight. Beowulf was a gore-fest. Blood and guts everywhere. However, it was a load of fun and a good time-waster. The final battle was good. I’m not going to spoil it for you, but it’s exciting.
I haven’t read the poem, so I can’t compare the two. It’s still good, and the animation is mind-blowing. So, in conclusion, Beowulf gets a B+.
On Thursday, I went to cartooning class after school. Things were going smoothly until my friend, Lindon, decided to root through my friend, Alaina’s binder. Well, wouldn’t you know, she found something. She showed me, and I made a serious blunder that came back to haunt me for the rest of the class.
But on to the rest of the class! Lindon was constantly throwing insults at me. Usually I can deal with them, but for some reason I couldn’t deal with them as much. She often makes me wonder if she’s my friend or not. One minute she can be nice and funny, and other times she’s just insulting.
I came seriously close to saying, “Screw you, Lindon!” and leaving the table. But, once again, I gave her another chance, and there were no major problems for the rest of the cartooning class. Yay!
On a Saturday too! It’s my Saturday, and I get dragged into a half-hour of yard work. Argh! I was frustrated, but I got it done, and now I’m posting this entry.

There. I basically just said the whole post in four words. I watched about two minutes of it, then just stopped because the voices were so annoying. It would be easier to watch if it was English and not Japanese. I admit chuckling at one point, and the theme song was kind of catchy. But other than that, it didn’t hold my attention. The anime “Lucky Star” gets a D+.
On Monday in homeroom, the teacher made us fill out these “unfinished sentences”, basically saying sentences like “I trust ________” then you fill it out.
Well, I only answered about half of them, and most people took them as a joke. Take my friend Sean for example. One of the questions was “When I look in the mirror, ________” and he wrote in the blank “it cracks.” I actually tried to answer some of the questions seriously, but my friend Brennan kept saying stuff like, “When I feel angry, I @#&%.” It was funny, but it distracted me.
Well, there you have it. Monday’s homeroom in a nutshell for me.
Runescape, Runescape, Runescape. A very popular MMORPG out there, many have criticized it, many love it. Here’s my review.
The Good
Over 20 non-members quests, and over 100 members-only quests. – Huge world to explore. – Lots of fun mini-games to play (members only). – Many skills to hone. – Solid songs. – Simple to play.
The Bad
Graphics need some work. – Too much stuff is members-only. – Tutorial takes too long. – Slow computers can lag a LOT.
So, Runescape is good if you want to waste some time, or just enjoy playing with your friends. Non-members can get bored fast, though. The members play is WAAAAYYY better.
